Our Team

Fred’s passion for providing his customers with comfort and advanced technology led him to open Automated Building Controls over 30 years ago with a staff of 3. Now, along with his sons, Automated Building Controls is continuing to grow from those humble beginnings. Fred enjoys spending time with his Grandchildren, Boating, and Hiking, all along-side his wife of 40+ years Kay.

Darrel has spent his 30+ year career in sales. He thrives on building long term relationships with our customers.  Darrel enjoys spending time with his 3 sons and his love, Maria.  Darrel volunteers his time as a member of the Fair Haven Recreation Committee, and is an Elder at Tower Hill Church in Red Bank.

Sean is an industry leader in controls project management, integration, and programming, even becoming a resource for many of the factory engineers who design the products we install.  In his spare time Sean can be found hiking, boating, and flying drone helicopters with his 2 children and wife Jennifer.  Sean and his wife help to run their local Cub Scout Pack 22 in Navesink, NJ.

Kieran’s field experience and life-long affiliation with Automated give him the perfect mix of care for his customers and technical know-how to manage our service division. Kieran enjoys fishing, boating, and spending time with his wife Beth-Ann and their 2 children.

Jennifer has spent over 20 years of her career managing most aspects within the four walls of Automated Building Controls. She enjoys triathlons, good wine, and travelling with her son and her husband Scott.

Karolina is the voice of Automated Building Controls. She handles scheduling and coordination with our customers. Outside of work she enjoys running, biking, snowboarding and spending time with her family.  Karolina is very active in rescuing dogs (Specifically boxers) and enjoys exploring local breweries on weekends.

Dana handles all of the work behind the scenes at Automated Building Controls from bid paperwork, to billing, and payroll, she does it all. As a young mother, Dana spends most of her spare time with her son, daughter and husband Damon (And the occasional glass of wine!).

Bill has spent his career in HVAC parts purchasing and supply. If you need to find something, he knows where to get it. Bill enjoys spending time with his Family and can often be spotted on the beach in Spring Lake.

Andrew has been with the company since 2012, starting as a driver and working his way up to Journeyman. He spent 10 years in the field before moving inside to our remote support desk where he helps customers and our field staff adjust settings, diagnose issues, and help test equipment. In his personal time, he likes to read, go to concerts, and spend time with friends and family.

Eric is an experienced professional in Commercial Building Management Systems and HVAC, with a strong focus on Integration and system performance. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Allison, and their two kids, as well as pursuing hobbies like working on computers and building DIY projects. With a passion for problem-solving and innovation, Eric brings a hands-on approach to both his professional and personal life.
